About In-Bond Form 7512

When goods are sent to the United States only for transportation to another country (typically Canada or Mexico), they do not need to be formally entered into the commerce of the US.  Instead, they are processed in-bond on a form CBP 7512 for Transport and Entry (T&E).  Only bonded carriers and warehouses are allowed to physically handle the goods.  The first step is to create an in-bond movement on form 7512; once the 7512 T&E 'type 62' is created and authorized for movement the goods can begin their journey.  The form has a lifespan of 30 days, meaning the goods MUST be exported from the US within 30 days of the in-bond creation date.  When the goods arrive at the US port of exit (where they are leaving the country) the 7512 must be 'arrived' by sending an arrival message.  Once it is arrived, at the port of exit, then it MUST be 'exported' by sending an export message.  Prestige Worldwide has made this entire process simple, fast, and cheap!  You can do all of this on our site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!  No more waiting for business hours from your broker, our service is around the clock.  Simply fill out the form and we will get it processed and back to you within minutes.

How Do I Get Started?

The first step is to create a login to our site.  Next head over to the POA page and fill out the form to grant Prestige Worldwide authority to handle customs business on your behalf.  Once you have a login and POA then you can start creating 7512 In-Bond movements.  Some shipments arrive on  an AMS Bill of Lading (Automated Manifest System), like AIR or OCEAN import shipments.  Other shipments start from a Non-Automated Bill of Lading, like truck imports or FTZ withdrawals.  We will get into more detail of each below.

Air/Ocean AMS Bill of Lading

For a shipment arriving into the US by an AIR or OCEAN AMS Bill of Lading, start with our Air/Ocean AMS T&E Form.  Be sure to have all of the required information on hand, and make sure there are no errors or typos.  If any of the information is incorrect, you will receive a rejection message instead of your Authorized In-Bond form 7512.  Upon successful completion of the form, you will receive a 7512 by email that is authorized for in-bond movement.  At this point, the cargo can begin transit through the US.  Once it arrives at the port of exit, you can send the "arrival" message.  The 7512 may be reviewed by CBP at the port of exit.  Once the cargo has been exported you will need to "export" or close the in-bond movement by  sending an export message.  Failure to close the in-bond movement within 30 day can result in fines/penalties from CBP.

Truck /FTZ Non-AMS

For a shipment arriving into the US by truck or from a Free Trade Zone (FTZ), start with our Truck/FTZ Non-AMS T&E Form.  Be sure to have all of the required information on hand, and make sure there are no errors or typos.  If any of the information is incorrect, you will receive a rejection message instead of your Authorized In-Bond form 7512.  For pickup from an FTZ, you will need the previous In-bond number (it moved in-bond to the FTZ as well!) in order to create the new in-bond.  You can get this from the FTZ.
